Peter Witte is a writer and visual artist. His work has been featured in a variety of literary magazines and journals, including The Sun, Tin House (online), Hobart (online), and The Rumpus. He has been a submissions reader for PANK, an editor of web interviews for BULL, a housing policy researcher and consultant, an urban planner, and an old school basketball player.
Originally from Illinois, Peter currently lives in College Park, Maryland with his family: a philosopher, two children, and Jasper, a handsome schnauzer/poodle mix and champion ball fetcher. Some of his favorite writers/artists are David Foster Wallace, Jonathan Franzen, Jennifer Egan, Michael Kimball, Wallace Stegner, Jhumpa Lahiri, Maurice Sendak, Shel Silverstein, Margaret Wise Brown, David Allen Sibley, Louis C.K., and Werner Herzog.
