About

Peter Witte writes short stories and non-fiction essays. His writing examines family and associated societal or cultural issues.

You can also find his topically-random musings over on the blog pages.

Born, raised, and grown in middle-America, Peter is the seventh of eight children. Owing to his love for America’s Heartland and the people there, many of his stories are set in places from that region.

In 2007, Peter moved to Washington, D.C., where he currently practices his vocation as researcher for an organization that works to end homelessness.  He lives just outside the nation’s capital in Arlington, Virginia with his wife, Rachel, baby daughter, Veronika, and energetic puppy dog, Jasper.
